  • The Hungarian Tax Administration (NAV) is launching the eVAT platform, enabling automatic exchange of transactional data for VAT Returns. It offers real-time reporting, allowing taxpayers to access specific information for their returns via templates. The system cross-references uploaded files, halting submissions with discrepancies. The live environment, available by early 2024, offers a web interface for smaller invoice volumes and a machine-to-machine (M2M) connection for larger ones. Users need to grasp standard tax codes, meet M2M technical requirements, and understand system messages for successful submissions, as the system conducts tests during M2M data upload.
  • The Malaysian Inland Revenue Board released the Software Development Kit (beta) to help taxpayers prepare for the mandatory MyInvois System. The kit includes documentation of APIs for integrating taxpayer ERP systems with MyInvois System. Additionally, updated guidelines were published to provide clarifications for the upcoming e-invoicing mandate.
  • Poland: New KSeF obligation date to be announced by the end of Q2 2024.  The Polish national e-invoicing system (KSeF) implementation faces delays, with consultations scheduled by the Ministry of Finance on February 9, 2024. Responses to system inquiries will accompany this schedule, with an anticipated announcement of a new implementation date in April or May. Training will be provided to affected entities, covering practical usage and free software utilization, complemented by hotline support. Emphasizing the system’s role in combating VAT fraud, the Ministry advises taxpayers to await the revised introduction date.
