Peru is considered one of the countries with the most advanced electronic invoicing system in Latin America. Its project to generalize electronic invoicing, called the Electronic Emission System ( Sistema de Emisión Electrónica – SEE), is coming to the end of its implementation with the on-boarding of 100% of the country’s companies. The national tax authority (Superintendencia Nacional de Aduanas y de Administración Tributaria – SUNAT) is responsible for coordinating the functioning of the SEE.
