Since 15 March 2024, the Swedish Transport Administration has mandated contracted suppliers to report environmental data using e-delivery notes. This is part of Sweden’s ESG policy to digitalize environmental data, and applies to certain procured contracts for large and heavy vehicles, mass transport to and from construction sites for projects over SEK 50 million, and road infrastructure maintenance. Suppliers must follow the BEAst supply 4.0 industry standard and report environmental data using Peppol Advanced Despatch Advice. The reported data includes fuel usage, fuel type, distance travelled, and mass transport, with more fields expected to be added as the scope broadens.
