- Awareness drive targeting economic operators – On Wednesday 15 July 2026 in Brazzaville, Séraphin Ndion of the Directorate General of Taxes and State Property (DGID) and business project lead, together with Loyic Mbéri-Mboko, representative of Akieni (the SFEC service provider), presented the Certified Electronic Invoicing System (Système de facturation électronique certifiée, SFEC) to members of the Union of Economic Operators of Congo (UNOC). Officials called on business leaders to adopt this new system, which certifies invoices as part of a major reform of the country’s invoicing framework. [finances.gouv.cg]
- Objective: securing invoicing and fighting tax fraud – The reform is designed to secure invoicing and combat tax fraud, reinforcing fiscal transparency and the competitiveness of Congolese businesses. UNOC, which represents 1,380 members, has formally acknowledged the reform and committed fully to the transition, describing SFEC as “a reform of secure and certified invoicing” and urging operators to take ownership of the new tool.
