NEW VAT REGISTRATION NUMBERS IN BULGARIA
The Cyprus Tax Departments has been informed by the Bulgarian Tax Authorities
that with effect from 4/1/2022, a significant number of Bulgarian VAT
registration numbers have been changed.
Therefore, as from the aforementioned date, traders making intracommunity
supplies of goods or services to traders registered for VAT in Bulgaria are advised
to ask them for their new VAT Registration Number and validate it on the Vies
on-the-Web site https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/ before issuing an
invoice or completing the Recapitulative Statement (VIES Statement).
