A malfunction at the Tax and Customs Administration prevented some entrepreneurs from filing a VAT return on Friday 31 July 2020, while the deadline would expire on that day. Entrepreneurs who had problems due to the disruption are therefore given a week’s delay. The problem has now been resolved, let the tax authorities know.
An update occurred on the night from Thursday to Friday, a spokesperson said. As a result, people could not log in to My Tax Authorities. For a long time, entrepreneurs could not go to “Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk” and the entrepreneur portal.
The tax authorities are calling for another attempt, now that the outage has been resolved. This is also possible after the deadline has passed, but must be done no later than 7 August 2020. If the declaration is received before that time, no fine will be paid.
