A new decision explains when the “special government supervision” codition is met. This is one of the conditions for applying the asset management exemption. It appears to be insufficient to have one or more qualifying permits to perform all management VAT-exempt. The managers of the funds will therefore have to check separately for each fund whether a license is necessary.
