The Ivory Coast Directorate-General of Taxes has instructed businesses and technology providers using API-based electronic-invoicing interfaces to bring their systems into conformity with the technical requirements of the country’s Facturation Normalisée Électronique, or FNE, platform.
The 45-day remediation period began on 14 September 2026, the date of the official notice. It follows the identification of compliance gaps in data transmitted to the FNE platform.
The requirement applies to businesses authorized to generate standardized electronic invoices through API integration. It also covers accredited software publishers and integrators providing interface solutions.
The FNE operates as a clearance system. Electronic invoices are transmitted to and validated by the tax administration before being delivered to customers. Businesses may use the official platform or integrate an existing ERP or invoicing application through an API. Available external guidance indicates that the system supports electronic invoices and electronic receipts for B2B, B2G and B2C transactions. [e-invoicing.org], [dddinvoices.com], [edicomgroup.com]
If an affected business or service provider does not correct its interface within the deadline, the authority may temporarily suspend its API-access key. The suspension would not prevent the application of additional penalties available under the tax legislation.
Affected businesses should use the remediation period to test data mappings, validation controls, invoice numbering, tax codes and handling of rejected transactions against the official technical specifications.
