Legislation amending the excise duty (tax) law was published on the government legislation centre’s website on August 2, 2024.
The bill increases the excise tax on tobacco products and their substitutes, extends the excise tax scheme to vaping devices, and introduces one-year validity of excise stamps for electronic cigarette liquids.
