Electric bike in the company’s expenses – the tax office agrees

A person running a sole proprietorship will deduct expenses for the purchase of an electric bike or scooter – the tax office confirms in its interpretations. There is also no provision that would prohibit the deduction of bicycle costs if the entrepreneur already has a company car. The tax office also agrees to the full deduction of VAT from the purchase of a two-wheeler. However, the question arises whether VAT does not have to be paid for the private use of company equipment, but experts point out that the regulations should be interpreted with common sense.
