“VeriFactu Regulation” approved in Spain
On December 6, 2023, the Royal Decree 1007/2023, dated December 5, was published in the BOE (Official State Gazette). This decree approves the regulation that establishes the requirements to be adopted by computer or electronic systems that support the billing processes of businesses and professionals, and the standardization of formats for billing records, commonly known as the “VeriFactu Regulation”.
Businesses and professionals must align their information systems with the standards outlined in the regulation by July 1, 2025.
