On Slovakian E-Invoicing: The Expected Schedule for E-Invoicing Implementation

  • The E-invoice system will gradually become mandatory for all state, public administration bodies, and entrepreneurs providing goods or services in Slovakia.
  • The implementation will occur in four phases throughout 2023.
  • Currently, E-invoices are mandatory for G2G and B2G transactions.
  • The expected schedule for implementation in government and public administration institutions is as follows: Q1 2024 for the Ministry of Finance, Datacentrum, and budget organizations, with further integration into other entities.
  • The B2G invoicing regime’s implementation has been delayed, with the latest timeline aiming for Q1 2024.
  • The government plans to introduce a CTC system for B2B and B2C transactions in 2025.
  • Additionally, an API invoicing interface and a manual invoice creation screen have been published by the ministry of finance.
