- E-Invoicing Framework Established: Slovakia’s Financial Administration has published accreditation requirements for service providers that wish to operate Access Points for e-invoice exchange, marking progress toward the implementation of e-invoicing obligations set to begin on January 1, 2027.
- Accreditation Criteria: To obtain accreditation, service providers must have a registered office in an EU Member State, demonstrate a good reputation with clean criminal records, prove technical capability through testing in the Peppol Testbed environment, and ensure reliable identification of senders and recipients.
- Implementation Timeline: The e-invoicing mandate will include cross-border transactions from July 1, 2030, and starting in spring 2026, businesses will have the option to choose a certified provider and engage in voluntary testing to prepare for the upcoming requirements.
