A group of PiS MPs submitted a draft amendment to the VAT Act to the Sejm, which assumes the extension of the zero VAT rate on food for another half a year – this time until June 30, 2024. In accordance with the applicable regulations, the reduced VAT on basic food goods is to apply until the end of 2023 PiS MPs justify that the aim of the project is to fight inflation.
