The Commonwealth Grants Commission has published updated goods and services tax (GST) sharing relativities for use in distributing GST revenue among the states and territories in 2022-23.
According to the report, the state and territory shares of the GST pool and the estimated GST pool distribution implied by those relativities in 2022-23 would be:
- NSW: 0.95065 ($23.2 billion)
- Vic: 0.85861 ($17.1 billion)
- Queensland: 1.03377 ($16.3 billion)
- WA: 0.70000 ($5.6 billion)
- SA: 1.28411 ($6.8 billion)
- Tasmania: 1.85360 ($3 billion)
- ACT: 1.09250 ($1.4 billion)
- NT: 4.86988 ($3.6 billion)
