The Australian Tax Office (ATO) has launched a public consultation on the adoption of B2B e-invoicing in the country.
Through this consultation, called Business e-Invoicing Right (or BER), all companies in the country able to receive invoices in the PEPPOL format could require their business partners to send them invoices in this same format. The objective of this approach is to generalize the use of electronic invoicing between private companies.
