Since January 4, 2022, the Bulgarian VAT numbers of many companies of natural persons consist of 9 digits (instead of 10 before).
You can check the Bulgarian VAT numbers through the VIES application(link is external)†
If you carry out transactions with Bulgarian customers, we ask you to take this into account in your intra-Community declarations (from the declaration for transactions in January 2022).
