Intrastat dispatches country codes XI and XU
As referred in the previous news article, from January 2022 Month of account, the reporting of Country of Origin is now required on Intrastat Dispatches declarations.
To distinguish goods originating from Northern Ireland and Great Britain two separate codes have been created:
- XI for goods originating from Northern Ireland
- XU for goods originating from Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales, including Channel Islands and Isle of Man)
NOTE: The country code GB is invalid for Country of Origin. Please do not incorrectly use country code ‘NI’ for goods moving from Northern Ireland, as this relates to Nicaragua.
