The objective of the SVDP is to encourage companies or individuals to come forward to disclose any indirect taxes and penalties for which they were liable as at 31 October 2021. The RMCD has set out the potential benefits and conditions of the program, the taxes that would be covered, the classes of taxpayer that would be eligible to participate, the proposed application process, and the likely implications for audits.
