At the ECOFIN meeting of Dec 7, 2021, finance ministers reached agreement on the text of the amendment to the VAT directive. This gives the opportunity to amend this directive and introduce the possibility of using the reduced tax rates to a greater extent by individual countries.
The priority of the Polish Ministry of Finance is to introduce a zero tax rate on food.
