Digitization is becoming one of the most commonly used terms, related to different aspects of our lives. From the fiscalization point of view one of the actual aspects is related to usage of electronic receipts.
In order to print out a lot of receipts, you need a lot of paper. In order to make a lot of paper, we need a lot of wood which requires taking down trees. Talking about brand new paper, not recycled one. Even though most of the trees that are taken down are planted afterwards, growing them again still requires years, water and nutrients. The pulp and paper industry uses over 40% of all industrial wood traded globally.
