- The UAE Ministry of Finance replaced its e-invoicing service provider accreditation framework through Ministerial Decision No. 168 of 2026, effective from 1 October. It removes the preliminary-approval stage: providers must now complete defined assessments and testing before accreditation is granted, reflecting the programme’s transition from development and testing to operations.
- Providers holding preliminary approval have 30 days from 1 October to complete accreditation requirements, or their approval terminates. They may continue using third-party Peppol products and outsourcing, while retaining full responsibility. Businesses should verify a provider’s current accreditation status rather than relying on earlier preliminary-approval announcements or general marketing claims.
- Businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027; no further extension had been announced. Missing the deadline carries AED 5,000 per month of delay. Others must appoint by 31 March 2027.
