Customs warns: e-commerce declaration only possible with correct permits

  • Since July 1, 2026, declarants of e-commerce goods must pay import duties on parcels from outside the EU with a value up to €150, following the abolition of a previous exemption.
  • To file these declarations and pay duties, declarants are required to hold specific permits: Deferred Payment (DPO) and Continuous Guarantee (CGU).
  • Customs actively verifies the possession of these permits, as they are essential for making customs declarations for e-commerce shipments.
