Saudi Arabia: 31 July Cut-Off for June and Q2 2026 VAT Returns

Summary
  • ZATCA has reminded businesses that VAT returns for June 2026 (large taxpayers with supplies above SAR 40 million) and for Q2 2026 (taxpayers at or below SAR 40 million) must be filed no later than 31 July 2026 via its portal and app. [spa.gov.sa][saudiarabi…ngnews.com]
  • Late filing triggers a penalty of 5% to 25% of the tax that should have been declared, so the Authority urges immediate submission through the ZATCA smartphone application to avoid fines. [spa.gov.sa]
  • Support is available 24/7 via call centre 19993, the@Zatca_Care account on X, email [email protected], or website live chat; VAT applies at the standard 15% rate on most goods and services. [spa.gov.sa][analytix.sa]
Article
On 21 July 2026 the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) called on VAT-registered establishments to meet the 31 July deadline for their latest returns. Filing frequency depends on turnover: establishments with annual supplies of goods and services exceeding SAR 40 million file monthly (June 2026), while those at or below SAR 40 million file quarterly (Q2 2026). ZATCA stressed prompt filing and payment through its mobile application to avoid late-filing penalties, which range from a minimum of 5% to a maximum of 25% of the tax due. Taxpayers seeking guidance can reach the 24-hour call centre on 19993, the @Zatca_Care account on X, email [email protected], or the website live chat.
