Article

Article On 30 June 2026, AFNOR — the French standardisation body — approved the publication of updated versions of three central technical standards supporting the French e-invoicing and e-reporting reform. The revised standards replace the versions of 25 February 2026 and consolidate feedback gathered from PDPs, software providers and the DGFiP during the pilot phase.

  • XP Z12-012 – Formats and profiles of invoice messages and lifecycle status messages (CII / UBL / Factur-X).
  • XP Z12-013 – Standardised APIs enabling companies to interface their information systems with accredited PDPs.
  • XP Z12-014 – B2B use cases applicable under the reform, including specific scenarios such as self-billing, factoring, credit notes and lifecycle events.

Together, these documents form the technical backbone of the French model. Businesses, integrators and PDPs should assess the delta against the February version to identify implementation impact ahead of the mandatory reception obligation.
