- Italy will soon allow the use of software solutions for the electronic storage and transmission of daily receipts data (corrispettivi giornalieri), following approval from the European Commission, as an alternative to traditional telematic registers.
- The Italian Revenue Agency is expected to finalize the regulations and technical specifications shortly, after issuing draft implementing regulations in July 2024 that authorize the use of these software solutions under legislative decree n. 1/2024.
- The draft rules require that software solutions be approved by the Revenue Agency upon formal request from the software producer, facilitating a transition to fully digital and automated billing processes for businesses and eliminating the need for physical or manual operations.
