- Norway signed a renegotiated VAT agreement with the EU on 2 October 2024 to enhance administrative cooperation and combat VAT fraud more effectively.
- The agreement allows Norwegian tax authorities to access new EU tools for combating VAT fraud, pending approval from the Norwegian Parliament (Storting).
