Latvia is accelerating its digital transformation by implementing mandatory e-invoicing for B2G and B2B transactions, aiming to streamline financial processes and enhance its position in the EU’s digital economy. The initiative is aligned with European standards, adopting the ‘Peppol’ invoice system to ensure interoperability among EU member states. The e-invoicing mandate is set to take effect by January 1, 2026, allowing businesses and government entities sufficient time to prepare.
