- The Danish Ministry of Taxation has approved green tax reforms through the implementation of Bill L 182 and Bill L 183.
- Starting from 2025, CO2 tax changes will be phased in, resulting in different rates by 2030. Companies not covered by the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) will face a rate of DKK 750 per tonne, while companies covered by EU ETS will have a rate of DKK 375 per tonne. Mineralogical companies will be subject to a rate of DKK 125 per tonne.
- The reforms also allow companies to claim a deduction for the CO2 they capture and store, incentivizing carbon capture and storage initiatives.
