- The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia has released updated versions of the e-invoice and e-invoice specific guidelines, as well as a new version of the Software Development Kit (SDK).
- The updated SDK provides clarifications and new technical information, particularly regarding e-signature requirements for the CTC mandate, which will be implemented in August 2024.
- All documents should have an e-signature applied to ensure integrity and authenticity. Only certificates issued by Certification Authorities listed and recognized by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission can be used. Currently, only local certificates are recognized, and no foreign Certification Authorities are accepted in Malaysia.
