The schemas for the Norwegian Financial SAF-T have been updated to version 1.30 and are accessible here. Effective January 2025, compliance with the new schema version will be mandatory. Until then, entities are permitted to continue using the previous version, 1.2.
The documentation of the SAF-T formats consists of:
- General documentation on implementation.
- Technical description of data elements with examples.
- Schematic description of data elements.
- Schema (.xsd), sample files, and code lists.
SAF-T Accounting (Financial):
SAF-T Financial has been audited and updated. A new form (version name 1.30) is mandatory from 01.01.25, but can be used immediately if desired. The new form does not provide full back-compatibility due to the scope of changes. The old form (version 1.20) can still be used for previous years (fiscal year 2024 and earlier):
