The cosmetics industry calls for a rate of 8%. VAT covered all its services from April 1, in line with the election promise. According to the industry, the project of the Ministry of Finance has too narrow a scope. However, doubts arise as to whether the tax cut is compatible with EU law at all. Experts also warn that the number of tax disputes over what rate to apply to specific services will increase. Also because it has not yet been legally decided which treatments constitute cosmetic services.
