- The French authority responsible for developing an e-invoicing system originally planned to introduce it in July 2024, but due to technical delays, they are now considering new deadlines.
- After intense parliamentary debate, a middle-ground adoption date of September 2026 for nationwide e-invoice acceptance was proposed, with a possible extension to December 2026.
- The second phase, which would require all businesses to issue e-invoices, is set to start in September 2027, with a potential extension to December 2027.
- These dates are still subject to change as the bill has not been formally adopted.
