- France has announced proposed new deadlines for its electronic invoicing regulations, which already require electronic invoicing for business-to-government transactions.
- The original plan was to introduce business-to-business mandates in July 2024, but a delay was announced in July 2023 without specifying a new start date. The new proposal includes a voluntary pilot period in 2025, with large to mid-sized businesses required to issue electronic invoices from September 2026, and medium-sized, small, and micro businesses required to do so from September 2027.
- French businesses should use this time to establish necessary processes for compliance, including working with accredited service providers.
