As known, starting from August 1, 2023, the collection of BBO at the border has come into effect. In relation to this, the Tax Department informs that the BBO/BAVP/BAZV declaration for the month of August 2023 will be accessible on the “Tax Office” portal from September 4, 2023.
The border BBO system encompasses the data of border-paid BBO covering the entire month. When the declaration month concludes, the latest data received from the Customs Department in the taxpayers’ declarations are processed.
The September 2023 BBO/BAVP/BAZV declarations, on the other hand, will be available on the “Tax Office” portal from 2 days after the month ends. For example, the September 2023 declaration will be available on October 2, 2023.
Regarding other declarations that need to be submitted monthly, such as income tax and tourist tax, there is no change. These declarations will remain available in the “Tax Office” portal, 30 days before the final due date.
The final due date for submitting the BBO/BAVP and BAZV declarations and other monthly declarations is the 15th of the following month. Only if this date falls on the weekend or on a public holiday, the final due date becomes the next working day.
