- Germany will introduce mandatory electronic invoicing for domestic B2B supplies between German resident businesses from January 2026, instead of January 2025 as originally planned.
- However, businesses can voluntarily implement e-invoicing from January 2025.
- Electronic invoices must be issued, transmitted, and received in a structured format that enables electronic processing, while paper or pdf invoices would be considered as other invoices.
