Spain, which has taken over the Presidency of the Council of the EU in July, aims at reaching an agreement on the package before the end of its six-month mandate.
The European Parliament is also fine-tuning its non-binding opinion and is expected to vote in the ECON committee on 24 October 2023. At this stage, there seems to be a common ground between political groups on the postponement of the dates of entry into force by one year, the extension of the deadline for electronic invoicing and the transmission deadline.
