- The Finance Minister has announced that the special VAT regime granted to influencers a few years ago no longer applies.
- Influencers who recommend products or services through social media are subject to VAT and must register for VAT, charge VAT on invoices, and complete a monthly VAT return.
- They can benefit from the small business exemption scheme if their annual turnover does not exceed 25,000 euros.
- Previously, a special VAT scheme had been granted to influencers, but they are now subject to normal VAT rules and must apply for a VAT identification number.
