- The East African Community Secretariat has made changes to the East African Community Customs Management Act, 2004 and the East African Community Common External Tariff (EAC CET).
- The modifications include changes to import duty rates in the EAC CET for select items, as well as selected stays of application of CET rates for one year, effective 1 July 2023.
- These measures can either increase or decrease duty rates.
