The Hungarian government has announced new requirements for the mandatory issuance of electronic transport documents, also known as EKAER.
Decree No. 130/2023, of 18 April 2023, introduced important measures concerning the transportation of certain agricultural products from Ukraine.
Effective from 19 April 2023, the decree stipulates that importers planning to bring the following products into Hungary must comply with the EKAER requirements and declare their import:
- Wheat (Tariff Code: 1001)
- Rye (Tariff Code: 1002)
- Barley (Tariff Code: 1003)
- Corn (Tariff Code: 1005)
- Rapeseed (Tariff Code: 1205)
- Sunflower seeds (Tariff Code: 1206)
