  • The national transposition of Directive 2014/55/EU applies only to contracting authorities above the EU thresholds, and the final deadline for compliance is April 20, 2020.
  • The e-Rechnung.gv.at platform is used to deliver eInvoices to the Austrian Public Sector and other recipients, and the Unternehmensservice Portal is the central processing eInvoicing platform operated by the Federal Computing Centre.
  • Solution providers can choose their preferred eInvoicing platform, but it must connect to the Federal Service Portal and E-Rechnung.gv.at.
  • The BBG is the federal public procurement agency, and economic operators commissioned by them must send invoices to the BBG eInvoices portal, which is connected to the federal government eInvoicing service.
  • The Austrian federal government receives and processes eInvoices through various methods, including direct upload, manual creation, or web-service connection.
  • After submission, eInvoices are stored as automatically generated PDFs, and an automatic pre-acquisition of the invoice receipt document follows.
