On 10 May 2023, a meeting of the Committee of the Permanent Representatives of the EU Member States to the European Union (Coreper) was held, during which broad agreement was reached on new transparency rules concerning crypto-asset transaction reporting (DAC8). Only Estonia indicated that it still had a parliamentary reservation on the DAC8 proposal, although the reservation should be lifted this week. It is expected that DAC8 will be formally approved during the meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council scheduled for 16 May 2023.
