Sufiyan Kapadia, the mastermind behind the colossal Rs 2,700 crore GST input tax credit evasion scam was finally arrested by the Economic Offences Wing of the Surat Police Crime Branch. Kapadia is the 19th person arrested in connection with this case, which involved setting up over 1,500 shell companies to defraud the government.
