From 1 January 2023, the installation and purchase of solar panels in the vicinity of a home will be taxed at the 0% VAT rate. You no longer pay VAT on the purchase and installation of solar panels in the vicinity of your home.
However, the solar panel holder still qualifies as a VAT entrepreneur for the supply of power to the grid (even after December 31, 2022). The VAT due on the compensation that the solar panel holder receives for the return of the power must be paid to the tax authorities.
