On 10 March 2023, the FTA published an Excise Public Clarification (EXP010) on Registration of Warehouse Keeper and Registration and Renewal of Registration of
Designated Zones. Topics covered in EXP010 includes registration of status of the designated zone; registration as warehouse keeper and application for a designated zone; categories of excise goods; quantity of excise goods in a designated zone; physical security of considered by the FTA in granting approval to a warehouse keeper to supervise a designated zone; stock and recorded management system; renewal of the designated zones registration; and financial guarantees submission by applicants intending to be registered as a designated zone. In addition, EXTP010 intended to replace the EXP008 effective from 01 Aprile 2023.
