China’s State Taxation Administration (STA) keeps expanding the introduction of Fully Digitalized e-Fapiao, lately new provinces joined to the expanding pilot program.
From January 20, 2023, new registered taxpayers in Shanghai are covered under the pilot program. Taxpayers in Shanghai no longer need to issue ordinary VAT e-Invoices or special e-Invoices from the date they joined to the pilot program.
