The VAT gap has been reduced in recent years in both the EU and the Netherlands. Compared to other EU countries, the Netherlands lacks relatively little VAT revenue. That is what State Secretary Van Rij replied to parliamentary questions about the investigation into VAT fraud in the European Union.
