The Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) Jan. 13 accepted for consideration Bill No. 8360, to exempt VAT on imports of specified military equipment during martial law and no longer than up to Jan. 1, 2024, due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The bill includes measures to: 1) provide a VAT exemption on the import of unmanned aerial vehicles, aircrafts, optical and collimator sights, night vision sights, thermal imaging sights, thermal imaging binoculars, and monoculars, and no-vision devices; and 2) exclude the goods from the exemption if imported from Russia or specified countries.
