Starting January 1st cash registers in Germany must be equipped with a technical security device. Technical security device – TSE is made up of three components: a security module, a storage medium, and a digital interface.
The TSE must be certified, which is the responsibility of manufacturers. Certification of the actual point of sale system or POS application is not necessary.
