The UK has updated its guidance on Russia trade sanctions in recent days. The changes are summarised below.
Services related to G7 dependency and further goods
The UK Statutory Guidance on Russia sanctions has been updated to include that a licence may be granted for the provision of technical assistance, financial services or funds relating to G7 dependency and further goods if the Secretary of State is satisfied that they are necessary for medical and pharmaceutical purposes, provided that this is for the benefit of the civilian population. The provision of these services is banned under Regulations 46Z and 46Z1 of the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.
